American Arts & Crafts Movement Gold Brooch with Moonstones by Frank Gardner Hale.
This is a rare and unique piece handcrafted in the early 20th century by Frank Gardner Hale (Am: 1876-1945). This Arts & Crafts period necklace is in 18Kt yellow gold with three cabochon moonstones. This brooch is measures 2.5 inches long and 0.50 inches in width The brooch is signed 'F.G.Hale'. Condition is excellent.
Frank Gardner Hale (1876-1945) was one of the most important goldsmiths of Arts & Crafts movement. F.G. Hale was a student of C. R. Ashbee's in England, When he returned to America, he taught another of the movement's key figures, Edward Everett Oakes, who apprenticed in Hale's Boston studio.
